House built in the early century by architect Weissenburger, housing the presidency of Henri Poincaré University
Built at the beginning of the 20th century by the architect Weissenburger for Albert Bergeret, a postcard printer, it now houses the presidency of Henri Poincaré University. The greatest artists of the Ecole de Nancy have signed this Art Nouveau jewel. The wrought iron is the work of Louis Majorelle, the stained glass windows of Jacques Gruber and Georges Janin. The stained glass window in the staircase, representing a flight of seagulls on a stormy sea, framed by a cradle of yellow roses, is remarkable. The house has been classified as a historical monument since 1996.

Une maison art nouveau qui complète (ou prépare) parfaitement à la villa Majorelle ou le musée de l'école de Nancy.

Meine Frau hatte Tränen in den Augen, als sie sie im Sonnenlicht sah.
Einzig, dass man nicht einfach reingehen kann, ist schade. Aktuell (bis August) kann man sich zu einer Führung anmelden (siehe Bild mit qr Code). Leider sind wir zu den noch offenen Terminen nicht mehr in Nancy.. Hoffentlich gibt es zukünftig weitere Möglichkeiten die Villa von innen zu sehen.
