Astronomical observatory in Dax, one of the first amateur observatories, with a planetarium and various observation instruments
From 1976, it is one of the first amateur observatories. It was the scene of the first world discovery of a comet by an amateur with a CCD camera. It is also here that 5 asteroids orbiting between the planets Mars and Jupiter were discovered. Seat of the Aquitaine Regional Delegation of the Astronomical Society of France, it has a meteorological section, many instruments of observation, treatment and acquisition of images and a planetarium to discover during the visit.

Profitant de la nuit des étoiles pour amener mes enfants à la découverte de l'astronomie, nous avons finalement assisté à un concert qui n'avait aucun lien. Si je veux écouter de la musique j'y vais un soir du 21 juin
La présentation sur Venus qui a fait suite était très intéressante, mais trop tardive.
En attendant la tombée de la nuit, pourquoi ne pas avoir proposé des explications sur l'astronomie, ou une présentation du matériel utilisé.
Finalement nous sommes partis à minuit sans avoir vu une seule étoile à travers un télescope.
Nous trouverons une autre moyen pour donner la passion du ciel à des enfants de moins de 10 ans
