The castle of Cons-la-Grandville is an architectural treasure of Lorraine
Built on a rocky promontory, the Château de Cons-la-Grandville is an architectural treasure. Listed as a Monument Historique, the present-day château is built on the remains of a medieval castle built by Dudon de Cons, a companion of Godefroy de Bouillon during the First Crusade. The castle retains its medieval foundations and lower sections. The building was rebuilt in Jaumont stone during the Renaissance. A major restoration program has been underway since 1984.
