THE TOWER OF THE DOOMED
A tower in Baccarat, known as the Tour des Voués, measuring 30 meters high and 14.7 meters wide.
In 1305, Henry I erected a tower called the Tour des Voués (meaning defenders) on a rock overlooking the Meurthe plain. This was a strategic position for defending the town against the serfs. The tower is 30 metres high and 14.7 metres wide. The walls, pierced by windows and loopholes, are almost 3 metres thick. Baccarat's ramparts and château are still accessible via a vast vaulted passageway still used today by local residents. See you at the foot of this seven-century-old tower...

Il n'y a pas grand chose à voir et c'est bien dommage car c'est un site historique de la Ville.
