LES TOURS DE CROCQ
The towers of Crocq and the Maison du Patrimoine, an eco-museum featuring an exhibition on the working of skins and furs.
The town grew up at the foot of the castle that Robert I, Dauphin of Auvergne, had built in 1190 on a rocky spur overlooking the Tardes valley. Two impressive round, massive 12th-century towers and the remains of a sentry walkway remain from the old castle and the fortifications built in the 14th century. A panoramic view awaits you at the top! At the top of one of the towers, you'll find an orientation table offering views of the Auvergne volcano chain and part of the regional nature park.
