Present in Aubusson since the 17th century, the Manufacture Royale Saint-Jean has been a listed historic monument since 2012. The tour lasts one hour, during which visitors will discover a complete panorama of the work carried out in a factory. The tour covers the full range of tapestry trades: low-warp tapestry manufacture, high-warp soap carpet manufacture, and the restoration and conservation of antique tapestries. The tour also takes in the painters' workshop, the dyers' workshop, the wool store and the exhibition galleries, which each year feature a temporary exhibition dedicated to tapestry.
