VIEUX PONT DE VIGEOIS
Built in the 11th century and 45 meters long, this Old Bridge, known as the "Pont des Anglais", is one of the town's major attractions. It is supported by four round arches, the piers of which are distinguished by beautiful almond-shaped foreshafts. Around the Vieux Pont, and taking advantage of the Vézère river, the best craftsmen and the most skilful Compagnons gathered, creating a real hub of attraction made up of forges, mills, carding mills and more. All used the river's water as a source of energy. The bridge has been listed as a historic monument since 1969.
