Classified as a historic monument, Château d'Amou comprises two buildings: the château, designed by Jules Hardouin Mansart, the Sun King's architect at Versailles, and the regional-style outbuildings. Unchanged over the centuries, its interior layout is a living testimony to the art of living of its time. Worth seeing: a Gallo-Roman mosaic from the 4th century. I do not recommend this site at all. The hospitality of the owners is cold, the visit uninteresting, do not make any effort. They rest on their former glory and their reputation.
