THE BLACK ROCK VIADUCT
A silent and wild monument, the Rochers des Rochers-Noire seems hanging over the Luzège. Along 170 metres, its deck overlooks the river over 100 metres high and continues through a tunnel with a curve of 150 metres long. Derived from Mr. Gisclards's suspension bridge techniques, this art book is unique in France. He wore the line of the Tulle-Ussel line which operated from 1913 to 1959 before being superseded by the automobile. Le, as affectionately known by Les Hailing, was walking on a single track. A real challenge, the construction of this path was in line with the abyss separating Lapleau from Soursac. Let us do that! The Viaduc des Roches-noire, after two years of construction in the steep gorges, was inaugurated on 11 September 1913 by President Raymond Poincaré. His crossing is currently closed to the public, but he deserves a look.
