Camping with bar and restaurant, a good plan for a natural and family holiday near the beach and the town centre of Vendays-Montalivet.

The Soleil d'Or campsite enjoys an exceptional location: on the sea front, a stone's throw from the city center, close to services and shops... Here, no need for a car to go to the beach or to the market, everything is done on foot or by bike. You can choose between traditional pitches, 4 types of mobile homes (some of which were recently installed this year) or lodges with ocean views. This campsite offers a whole range of services: bar, restaurant, games, free Wi-Fi, laundry... The best part? Some mobile homes can be booked from Wednesday to Wednesday.

Open from April 1 to November 3. Reservations recommended. Land: 1.80 ha. Exposure: sunny. Soil: sandy. Relief: flat. Mobile homes for 1 to 4 people from €460 to €1,245/week. Tent pitch 100 m2 - vehicle - 16A: from €136 to €304/week. Lodge 1/4 pers : from 600 € to 1105 €/week. Children's playground. Pets allowed (subject to conditions and extra charge. 1st and 2nd category dogs are not accepted. 1 animal per pitch. Not allowed in lodges). Free Wifi. Catering (snack bar open with pizzas to eat in or take away from 7pm to 10pm. Bar open from 8am to 1pm with breakfast and bread, and in the evening from 6pm to 11pm). Entertainment. 2 self-service barbecues (charcoal not supplied).

Lieux paisible, idéal pour se reposer. A deux pas de l'océan et du centre ville où il y a un marché tous les jours. Je met 3 étoiles aux services car le bar et le restaurant étaient fermés à cause du changement de propriétaire.

Wir waren hier für 10 Tage Campen. Der Campingplatz ist echt nicht groß deshalb gibt es auch nur ein Toiletten/Duschhaus. Die Toiletten sind echt nicht die besten es hat keine Stehtoiletten und Klopapier muss man selber mitbringen. Die duschen sind auch nur in Ordnung, die Temperatur konnte man nicht einstellen, es war mir ein bisschen zu heiß.
Man konnte bei der Rezeption auf Baguette und Croissants bestellen für den nächsten Tag.
Das beste am Campingplatz und deswegen bekommt er von mir auch 4 Sterne war die Lage. Man war direkt am Meer, 2 min dann war man am Strand und in die Stadt war es auch nicht weit.

Der Campingplatz ist super gelegen. Man muss lediglich eine kleine Straße überqueren und ist direkt am wunderschönen Atlantik. Auch ins Dorf mit seinen zahlreichen Restaurants und Bars kann man ganz einfach laufen.
Allerdings fanden wir den Platz selbst leider nicht so schön. Wir waren mit dem Wohnmobil dort und der Untergrund war nicht nur extrem uneben, sondern auch einfach mit Geröll aufgeschüttet. Über die Hälfte unseres Platzes war dadurch nicht nutzbar. Dafür waren die zwei Nächte extrem teuer (170 Euro für 2 Pers. u. ein Kind) Da stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhätnis unserer Ansicht nach nicht.
Ausserdem sollte man bei der Anreise bedenken, dass die Rezeption von 12.00 - 15.00 Uhr Mittagspause macht und man dann nicht auf den Platz kommt, wenn einem nicht vorab die Platznummer mitgeteilt wurde.
Die Samitäranlagen waren OK.
Wenn man den Fokus eher auf die Nähe zum Atlantik legt, ist der Campingplatz in Ordnung.

Camping beaucoup trop cher pour les prestations, sanitaires en nombre largement insuffisant et pas très propres, très rudimentaires.
Pas d'épicerie.

I unfortunately had to cancel 3.5 weeks prior to arrival 1 of our 5 guests. But the camping did not want to give any money back even though on their terms and conditions was stated that in case of my certain disruption they would pay at least an amount back. Terrible service, not customer friendly at all, would never go there or book. Oh and fun fact, I booked cancellation insurance as well, but they just did not care
