Direct from the sea, the fish shops on the Catalan coast are a must. Fish from local fisheries or from the oceans, seafood and ready-made dishes and take-away trays. In the fish tank, lobsters and crayfish put on a show (children love it...) before being cooked. A few convivial tables will allow you to taste oysters, mussels and anchovies as an aperitif, with a small glass of local white wine. Artisanal vinegar factory now famous all over the world thanks to the enthusiasm of the best chefs. The chefs who use these wines, coming only from the Banyuls and Collioure area, matured in the Catalan sun with young and very fruity Banyuls Rimage, have understood the interest of this exceptional vinegar. Everything is done in the open air, you will see the "dames-jeannes" where the vinegar is refined, after 3 to 5 months of elaboration in oak barrels. La Guinelle elaborates, in addition to white, red or old banyuls vinegars, some "rarities" to discover absolutely.

On this terroir of schist blessed by the gods, Sophie and Alain make their vines grow and pamper them "as naturally as possible". Bio-dynamic cultivation and natural vinification and maturing without added sulphur are their credo. This choice to keep the soil alive (without any chemical inputs) is expressed in their cuvées which are just delicious. If you want to initiate yourself to wine tourism, Sophie and Alain propose a discovery itinerary through the vineyards, the medicinal plants and their suberaie (cork oaks).

In Cosprons, a pretty secluded hamlet halfway between Port Vendres and Banyuls, the Cardoner family (grandfather, father and son) cultivates 11 hectares of vines with the passion and simplicity of great men. At Domaine Les Tines, you will discover a beautiful family history in the tradition of Giono's novels. The Cardoner family also has 4 guest rooms with huge terraces (and jacuzzi!) with a plunging view of the Mediterranean. What sharing and happiness!
