Domaine Pons Gralet is an 8-hectare estate on a human scale, which has been organically farmed since 2002, and has recently introduced biodynamic principles. The Agly valley, like the Côte Vermeille, is one of the regions with the lowest wine yields in France. This dry, windy climate is ideal for growing vines, particularly in organic conditions, and means that chemical inputs are kept to a minimum. The estate is scattered over several small, juxtaposed territories: Montner, Tautavel and Maury. As a result, the diversity of clay-limestone, schist, pebble and schist basalt soils enhances the diversity of aromas found in the wines. "Each of our vineyards is located in a specific appellation: Côtes du Roussillon Villages for the reds, Côtes du Roussillon for the whites and rosés, and of course Rivesaltes and Maury for the VDNs," explains Christian. The family claims to be "paysanne-vigneronne" and will welcome you in the purest Catalan tradition for a tasting of all their nuggets at the cellar in the village center. The result of the merger of several wineries in the Agly valley (Estagel, Montner, Saint Paul de Fenouillet, Caudiès de Fenouillèdes and Lesquerde), the Côtes d'Agly winegrowers' cooperative is now one of the leading producers of AOP Côtes du Roussillon with more than 250 winegrowers, 1,150 hectares of vines and 10 appellations. The emphasis is on quality but also on the environment: some vintages are organic. In the Agly valley, there is an infinite number of very specific terroirs which give equally contrasting wines.

The Domaine des Schistes is a family property which cultivates 50 hectares of vines between Estagel and Tautavel in the heart of the Agly valley. This diversity of soils, exposures and altitude allows us to produce wines with a strong personality. Following in the footsteps of his parents Jacques and Nadine, Mickaël has promoted organic farming and agro-forestry in particular. Beautiful range in the 3 colours with the Essencia cuvées but also VDN aged in Solera method and an excellent dry Rancio which is according to Nadine and Jacques the root and the future of the viticulture.
