Since 1903, the Desclaux company has been passing on its craftsmanship from father to son. The anchovies are salted by hand, then cleaned and placed in a crown in barrels of brine to obtain an incomparable aroma and taste. In the shop, you can find canned anchovies and especially semi-fresh anchovies with various seasonings. The production workshops are not open to the public, but in the old adjoining workshop, a worker will repeat the same gestures in front of you! Maison Desclaux has just opened a superb delicatessen in the centre of Collioure.

Founded in 1290, this former convent, which almost fell into oblivion after the French Revolution, has been the property of the winegrowers of Collioure since 1926. The cellar groups together 160 winegrowers producing the great PDO wines of Banyuls and Collioure. A visit to the cellar is not only educational but also a delight for the eyes when you discover the tuns room located in the nave of the old 13th century church. A convent dedicated to wines, this is unique! The visit ends with a nice tasting.

From early morning, the rue Berthelot is filled with the sweet scent of roasted almonds, hot chocolate and lemon... The Pons family, originally from Fenouillèdes, makes the inimitable croquants de Saint Paul de Fenouillet and the famous Rochers de Collioure in front of you. We also offer macaroons, bunyettes and rousquilles that will delight all gourmets. To be enjoyed at any time or to bring back in your luggage.

Tasting is a pleasure in this trendy wine-shop. Olivier, a young wine merchant and great connoisseur, will give you the advice you need. In his attractive light wood décor, you'll discover over 800 references, some of them exclusive to Collioure: Rectorie, Préceptorie, Gardiès, Clos des Fées, Gauby, Abbé Rous, Côtes d'Agly, Pithon de Calce, in short, the department's finest winemakers. Well rooted in the Collioure tradition, the Piétri-Géraud estate has the know-how of 5 generations of winegrowers, and today it is 2 women, Maguy and Laetitia, who hold the reins of the estate. 20 hectares, 16 of which are on schistous terraces, a harsh terroir with a strong identity. The wines are vinified and stored in the heart of the village. In dry or sweet wine, the vintages of the domain are to be discovered. Special mention to the old vintages of Banyuls. The specialized press is not mistaken and regularly rewards the nectars of the domain.

To be enjoyed without moderation: sardines, mackerel, tuna, fish soups... Originality has not been forgotten as we also find on the menu preparations for sandwiches, small pots to be reheated and some really surprising boxes. And it's delicious! The boxes are of all the colors (one would think in a jewellery store), the reception is always with a smile and in bonus one can taste the products. A little air of Brittany in the Mediterranean!

The family business works in the ancestral tradition of salting anchovies, from salting to maturation to packaging, in compliance with European standards. In the store, you will find the traditional anchovies in salt, fillets in oil, anchovies in vinegar and "roquerones" (marinated anchovies), but also anchovy cream and anchovy paste.

Christine Campadieu, Vincent Cantié and recently, Jean Baills, all the three talented winemakers, offer today a range of wines that are very typical of the region by their minerality, in white, rosé, red and ,of course, in sweet. For tasting, the white collioure Les Canadells vintage slightly rancio is ideal to accompany anchovies, the remarkable Rosé des Roches collioure, as well as the red Puig Oriol. Special mention for the Rimage banyuls which is, with its late bottling, worth a visit.

The Manya Puig estate is one of the oldest winegrowing identities in Collioure - one hundred and fifty years of existence on the black schists of the Paleozoic. Today, this family cultivates nearly 40 hectares of terraced vines, most of which are located in the Banyuls-Collioure cru. Simone welcomes you to the cellar in the centre of Collioure, a stone's throw from the castle and the small pedestrian streets. Domaine Reno is a vineyard offering direct sales of Collioure and Banyuls wines. Visitors can taste all the vintages on offer on site. In addition, free tours of the estate are offered, allowing visitors to discover the facilities and the wine production process. Domaine Reno also offers wines for sale in fountains or in bulk, providing a convenient alternative for buyers.
