Oyster beds offering a menu of prawns and oysters and a home-made dessert.
From the port of Saint-Vivien, this guinguette is reached via a discreet canal-side road. Philippe Lucet, an agricultural engineer, has been raising prawns here for many years. The ritual is well established: between 11:30 and 13:30, we settle in for a fisherman's snack of Médoc oysters (Philippe owns a few oyster beds), and in the evening, it's time for the sunset. Also on the menu: cooked prawns and Gascon pâté. Accompanied by a glass of Médocain or a classic white wine kir. No fuss, no muss, just friendly service. Don't forget to book!
