MAISON AUBERT
The Hôtel d'Alfonce was the setting for a beautiful family adventure and a superb production, that of Aubert lemonades. Created in 1876 by Jules Aubert, this company was a great success, receiving prizes in many agricultural contests. Over the next century, it grew, driven by the founder's great-grandson, Jean Aubert. In particular, he decided to develop the distribution of drinks and the sale of ice cream loaves, a decision that encouraged the company to move to Pézenas (1970), Agde (1976) and finally Lodève (1986). This move allowed the family, who still owned the mansion, to proceed with the total restoration of the monument. Today, David Flipo, Jean Aubert's grandson, has returned to these walls and perpetuates the family tradition. His lemonades are available online and in a few specialist shops.
