This hospital is the oldest in Montpellier. Indeed, it was inaugurated in May 1890 in order to improve local care and relieve the city's doctors. Historically, the establishment is a distant successor to the Robert Hospital founded in 1183 by Robert Pellier at the Porte de Lattes. It owes its name to the small chapel under the name of the great silversmith of Dagobert: Saint Eloi. After having been known as Clinique Saint-Eloi for nearly 50 years, it became Hôpital Saint-Eloi in 1976. These various adventures have contributed to the beautiful history of this place which still ensures the treatment and healing of many sick and wounded people.

Founded in 1947, Polyclinique Saint-Roch moved to the Grisettes district in February 2016. Within its brand new premises, the establishment provides complete and diversified services. Nowadays, it is one of the most important clinics on the Languedoc coast. Its activity is structured around several poles of reference: Female Mother-Child (maternity, pediatrics, pediatrics, pediatric surgery, gynaecology-obstetrics, IVF centre), orthopaedic surgery, hand emergencies, ophthalmology, internal medicine and geriatrics, oral and facial surgery and plastic surgery. A trusted institution, the polyclinic will meet medical needs, whether urgent or not.

The psychiatric hospital of La Colombière was founded in 1906 and has been attached to the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Montpellier since 1928. The hospital provides different types of care, from prevention to diagnosis, care and rehabilitation. The institution is composed of medical-psychological centres, part-time reception centres, part-time hospitalisation units, home-based or substitute home-based hospitalisation units, full-time hospitalisation units and intersectoral units for adults.
