CHÂTEAU DE ROUSSON
Castle built between 1600 and 1615 by Baron Jacques d'Agulhac, erected with fortifications to create a solid defense
Built in 1600 by Jacques d'Agulhac de Beaumefort, baron de Rousson, this ISMH-listed family château has always been inhabited. A testament to the tensions of the time, it was fortified to ensure its defense. In 1629, Cardinal de Richelieu stayed here during the siege of Alès. Today, Brigitte and Dominique De Cabissole perpetuate its history by opening a bed & breakfast that lets you experience the soul of this place steeped in history. With a breathtaking view of the Cévennes and Mont Ventoux, this château is a unique setting for a stay or an event. Reservations by telephone recommended.
