This is an ideal place for lovers of calm and wide open spaces. In the family of the owners - Diane and Loïc de Roquefeuil - for nine generations, Castelneau Castle has been a magnificent building hidden behind fortifications. It is with undeniable pleasure that Loïc will visit you. In one hour, he evokes the history of his family and the castle, the region, the architecture, his winemaking techniques or the difficulty he has in pruning his four hedges to which he has given the names of his children to make his task less than than thankless... This jack-of-all-trades is exciting. The walk ends with a tasting of the property's wine (Bordeaux supérieur, Clairet and Entre-deux-mers). And if you want to stay here, the couple offers two cottages and guest rooms for rent, next to the castle. All equipped with a bathroom, they have a small rustic side very charming and a beautiful view on the property. The Roger Lapébie bicycle path runs through the property, so cyclists are welcome. It is still a nice site for the organization of your private and professional events.

Les propriétaires détiennent le château depuis plusieurs générations, ce fut un plaisir de visiter les lieux avec eux pour découvrir plus sur son histoire. Ils ont été très aidant et à l'écoute de nos besoins pour l'organisation.
Les logements sont confortables et aménagés avec beaucoup de charme. Les chambres d'hôtes ainsi que la chambre nuptiale, en haut de la tour, sont somptueuses. La salle du grand chai où nous avons diné, a beaucoup de cachet et elle est spacieuse. Le local cuisine est très pratique selon notre traiteur.
Quelle chance nous avons eu de pouvoir nous marier dans un si beau lieu! Merci M. et Mme de Roquefeuil pour votre accueil et gentillesse. A bientôt dans vos chambres d'hôtes pour fêter notre anniversaire de mariage :)
Just a short note to express our thanks to a wonderful experience with the owner ( Loic) who advised us about all the details of the Bordeaux wines , the grounds and earth in which they wonderful Bordeaux wines are made.My son who lives close to the Hunter valley in Australia was very impressed by the wine making secrets he experienced by Loic .Thanks again, we learned a lot and tasted your excellent Claret once back home.????cheers
