It was in 1938 that the winegrowers of Ventenac, grouped in a cooperative, acquired this winegrowing "folly". When you enter the cellar, you will discover a place full of history, as well as vintages representative of the richness of the Minervois region and of the organic labeling. At the foot of the castle, you can admire "La Marie-Thérèse", the only "boss's boat" still existing in Europe. Built in Toulouse in 1855, it was used to transport goods and wine on the Canal du Midi until 1960.

Arrivés par la péniche Langon, donc devant chateau et cave. Nous avions réservé la visite et la dégustation (8 € par personne). C est plus que d avoir été déçus. "Montez les 52 marches, vous trouverez le musée... quand vous descendrez je vous expliquerai la fabrication du vin maintenant ". Nous n avons eu aucun commentaire à notre retour, quelques vins (4 au fond d un verre) à goûter. Nous avons bien payé nos 16 € et avons acheté 3 bouteilles. Soit disant visite : trop chère, le prix de 2 bouteilles. Très très déçus, il suffit d acheter sans visite ni dégustation.

Yo recomiendo parada obligatoria para ver cooperativa de vinos de la zona a buenos precios, con cata antes de comprar, y visita a las instalaciones/museo gratuito. El dueño habla español (gallego). Servicio exquisito. Muy facil amarrar barco casi en la puerta. Tienda de basicos tambien al lado.

Really phenomenal wines. Enjoyed everything we tasted and purchased, but the highlight was the 3L box wine, very smooth and delicious and one of my favourite wines I had this trip. Highly recommend all their wines.
