The first vines of Château Capitoul were planted in the 14th century. It was recognised and elevated to the rank of Cru La Clape in 2015. The wines harvested on the 92.4 ha of the estate have the High Environmental Value label and are part of prestigious appellations. Quel dommage ! Le lieu est fabuleux, tant la terrasse, que la vue, le restaurant, et la déco.
Le matériel est fantastique. Le service est top.
Cependant, la cuisine n’est absolument pas à la hauteur !! La viande était sèche, les sauces ne sont pas équilibrées (barbecue trop de goût de miel), les pommes de terre ne sont pas bien cuites (dures et pas fondantes), la mousse au chocolat écœurante car trop riche et trop serrée, la tarte aux abricots était sèche avec des abricots non glaizés. Il y a un retravail nécessaire car la cuisine est bâclée et ne fait pas honneur à ce cadre magnifique.
Le bar est très bien mais la margherita n’est pas spicy, promesse non tenue.

bonne nourriture, à recommander, endroit très propre, agréable, on peut manger dans un petit palais historique, ambiance agréable

Generally a lovely, relaxed bistro, but I've knocked a couple of stars off because we go frequently and last week was an anniversary and they wouldn't serve me a big juicy steak. A wee wizened fillet or nothing. Given their bulging fridge, I suspect it was the ignorant server rather than the restaurant, so I have knocked two stars off service too. But sit out there on the terrace for a relaxed lunch and its heavenly and this was an isolated (i hope!) case out of a dozen visits. I shall go back and hope the idiot has been fired.
