A dungeon with four rooms and an exceptional view of Narbonne.
Save your legs and your breath as you climb the 162 steps of the magnificent spiral staircase. At a height of 42 meters, you'll enjoy an exceptional view of the city of Narbonne, from the coast to the Pyrenees. The keep, one of the best preserved in southern France, is a powerful square tower at the corner of the Palais Neuf, built between 1295 and 1306 by Archbishop Gilles Aycelin, also an advisor to King Philippe IV le Bel. It comprises four rooms: the Hemispheric Room, the Treasury Room, the King's Chamber and the Defense Room.
