Mills on the hillside of Montalon, with a stele indicating the 45th parallel, offering a superb view of the region.

The Montalon mills are located on the hillside of the same name, at a height of 73 meters, in the middle of the vineyards. These mills, far from being isolated in the region, have a particularity: a stele nearby signals the passage of the 45th degree of North latitude (at equal distance from the North Pole and the Equator). The panorama from this point of view is superb and allows to see from the Fronsac hillock to the Côtes de Blaye, even passing by Bordeaux.
