ASP-YVELINES – ACCOMPAGNEMENT DES PERSONNES EN FIN DE VIE
ASP (Accompagnement en soins de support et soins palliatifs) is a non-denominational association of volunteer carers for people at the end of life who are under palliative care. Palliative care is about caring for the whole person, and this fine association accompanies people at the end of life through this difficult and painful time, whether at home or in hospital, and whether the patient is conscious or not. The association's volunteers support patients and their families with transparency, mutual respect and the ability to listen. They work in close collaboration with the nursing team, and benefit from the very serious and humane training provided by the ASP, in line with the Palliative Care Charter. These volunteers strive to give people as much well-being and dignity as possible, despite their illness. The association is actively seeking new volunteers.
