A site managed by the National Museum of Natural History, the Chèvreloup Arboretum, newly renamed the Arboretum of Versailles-Chèvreloup, is an exceptional site with more than 2,500 species and varieties of trees and is home to one of the richest collections of trees in Europe. Adjacent to the Park of Versailles, it offers the public an excellent support for nature awareness. Visitors will now be able to discover 200 hectares of landscaped natural space. They will be able to familiarize themselves with its three additional sectors during an open visit: the biogeographical zones of Asia and America, and, around a 1.5 ha pond, the horticultural zone (27 ha) presenting nearly 500 varieties of trees selected by man. This geological and morphological diversity enlivens the arboretum with bucolic atmospheres that are highly appreciated by all botanical enthusiasts. Among the emblematic places, visitors will be able to stroll through the meadow of Japanese cherry trees, admire the planting of dwarf conifers, or get lost in the Lawsons maze (wandering among conifers with colourful foliage). You can bring your dog, but only on a leash. The Arboretum is a wildlife protection area.

Après avoir fait 45 min de trajet et pleins d’embouteillages je suis arrivée à l’arboretum à 15h58 (portail ouvert donc)
Le temps que je sorte de ma voiture pour arriver au guichet il était 16h01.
L’entrée m’a été refusée car je suis arrivée 1 minute en retard !!!
Ils n’ont rien voulu savoir et m’ont mise à la porte sans aucun scrupules.
Je suis abonnée depuis plusieurs années et le manque total de flexibilité et l’attitude du personnel sont de plus en plus décevants. De vrai fonctionnaires qui n’ont qu’une seule hâte c’est de rentrer chez eux !
C’est inacceptable de traiter les abonnés de cette manière et de faire preuve d’aucune tolérance !
200 hectares de nature à arpenter été comme hiver, avec des ambiances différentes...
Je conseille les visites guidées.
C’est vraiment agréable de flâner dans ce parc, admirer la nature … idéal pour se vider la tête!
Le plus: on s’y sent en sécurité même quand je suis seule !
