Le Cheval Rouge is an authentic and warm establishment, which offers a brasserie-style menu at lunchtime: charcuterie boards, generous salads and fried hamburgers, but also a nice restaurant side. There, the manager presents a traditional cuisine, which varies according to the seasons and market finds. You can enjoy, for example, prawns marinated in garlic and Espelette chilli, braised calf sweetbreads or duck confit prepared with mastery by the chef!

Nous aimions aller manger au Cheval Rouge lors de nos passages à Rambouillet mais là nous avons été très déçus notamment par les œufs brouillés aux morilles dont nous avions gardé un excellent souvenir lors de notre précédent passage. Le niveau a beaucoup beaucoup baissé à tous points de vue.
La sauce morilles était de l'eau améliorée, les gambas étaient tièdes et la tarte tatin médiocre.
Peu de choix en champagne.
Par contre le personnel de service était très sympathique.
Je ne crois pas que nous retournerons au Cheval Rouge .
