With its magnificent gardens designed by André Le Nôtre and a château conceived by the architect of Versailles for the Duc de Luynes, the Domaine de Dampierre is today one of the largest privately-owned châteaux in the Ile-de-France region open to the public. Currently undergoing restoration, the estate is well worth a visit, and boasts a fine collection of horse-drawn carriages. Beautiful castle (though not open for visits) and magnificent and huge gardens around a big pond.
Easy access and parking, decent price, pets allowed (my dogs had a blast).
The local restaurant serves very decent food.
I will definitely recommend it.

Quelle déception! On a pas l habitude de se plaindre maislà! 10€ pour ça: pleins de travaux , poussière bruits, que du bois a voir et un petit jardin a l anglaise, ça passe pas. Aucun respect pour notre déception. La direction a fait savoir qu elle ne rembourserait pas. Point positif le personnel a l accueil
