Muriel Chéné is an artist based in Auffargis. Her artistic universe is characterized by enigmatic, tender and solitary characters. She uses two different techniques, illustration and pâte de verre, to create unique works of art. Muriel Chéné studied at the Beaux-arts d'Angers and then discovered pâte de verre at Cerfav in Vannes-le-Châtel. Her pâte de verre sculptures explore profound themes such as identity, waiting and the passage of time. She uses light and the properties of glass to portray small, often solitary figures, with a touch of disenchantment. Muriel Chéné's work has been exhibited in numerous salons and galleries in France and abroad.
