It is part of the Bordeaux University Hospital's South Hospital Group. With 1,325 beds spread over 100 hectares, it is the most recent of the city's three hospital sites. The Haut-Lévêque hospital has several geographical locations, including the Xavier Arnozan hospital also in Pessac, as well as the EHPAD Lormont and the EHPAD Les jardins de l'alouette. The hospital specializes in a number of medical and surgical fields, including cardiology, respiratory and thoracic pathologies, and digestive pathologies. It is also a center of excellence for referrals in these fields.
