Founded in 1957 by Father Joseph Wresinski, ATD Fourth World works to eradicate extreme poverty and defend human rights. With its permanent volunteers and committed allies, the association fights against preconceived ideas and social injustice. It denounces institutional mistreatment, the stigmatization of the poorest and sanctions targeting RSA recipients. Through local actions, public debates and publications, ATD mobilizes for a society of solidarity, where everyone has their place and their rights recognized.
