ATD QUART MONDE

The movement Aide à Toute Détresse was formed in 1957 around Father Joseph Wresinski (1917-1988). He was president of his French branch Geneviève de Gaulle-Anthonioz from 1964 to 1998. ATD Fourth World permanent volunteers are women and men who have chosen to reach the poorest populations - the fourth world - over the long term and to travel with them. The "allies" are volunteers who, after training, invest in the association's actions and/or act in their professional, family or associative environment.
