The Despagne family, rooted in the Saint-Emilion region for more than three centuries, has been involved in the vine and wine trades for 11 generations. It was in 1972, by succession, that she took over the management of part of the vineyards acquired by Louis Rapin between 1938 and 1964 in the mountain-saint-émilion, saint-émilion and pomerol appellations, for a total of 51 hectares. Château Maison Blanche is the name of the great Maison Blanche wine, a powerful and authentic wine for keeping, built on balance. White House, montagne-saint-émilion 2006. La Rose Figeac, Pomerol 2006. The conversion to organic farming has been completed: 2009 was the first AB certified vintage. In the vineyard, the Despagne family wants to formalize its commitment to biodynamics. In the cellar, it continues to vinify without oenochemistry, without nanotechnology, without artifice. She has even tried sulphur-free wine and, with more than convincing results, she will continue along this path when the wine balances allow it. Other environmental projects are in the air for the coming years: hedge planting, energy production, market gardening, etc.
