NOTRE-DAME DE L'ASSOMPTION CHURCH
Religious building

Built in the 11th century, this church offers a striking contrast between its Romanesque nave and left aisle, and its 12th-century transept and chevet of Romanesque-Gothic style. The 13th-century right side aisle, with its high bays, is Gothic in style. The bell tower, the only one of its kind in the region, is reminiscent of an Italian campanile and towers 57 m above the surrounding area. Built from local limestone, it bears witness to the craftsmanship of a bygone era.
