The famous restaurant has always been addicted to good wines. Its cellars, located on a small end of Philippe II, comprise 20,000 bottles in reserve representing about 500 references. A shop opened a few years ago, a bargain for lovers of good bottles and great crus, all the more so because prices spread from a few euros to several hundred for prestigious cuvings. The large Bordelais hold an important place in front of the burgundy people are buried in the middle of well-placed crates behind a stormhouse in ancient old Paris. I'm still fuming after our recent visit to Polidor. The food was undeniably delicious, but the atrocious behavior of the host completely ruined our dining experience. By the way the servers were lovely. ♥️
As we entered, instead of a warm welcome, the host curtly told us to close the door because cold air was entering. I understand the concern, but his tone was abrupt and inconsiderate, especially towards my 80-year-old mother who has limited mobility.
But the worst part was yet to come. As we were being seated, the host carelessly pushed a chair, which nearly caused my mother to fall. I was shocked and appalled by his recklessness and lack of concern for her well-being.
Throughout our meal, the host's behavior remained dismissive and unfriendly. It was clear that he was more interested in turning tables than providing decent service.
The food, as I mentioned earlier, was excellent. However, the host's appalling behavior and lack of empathy towards my elderly mother have left a sour taste in my mouth.
*To the management of Polidor:*
I hope you take our experience seriously and take immediate action to address the host's behavior. Elderly customers, like my mother, deserve respect, care, and compassion. It's unacceptable to prioritize efficiency over customer safety and well-being.
Until then, I would not recommend Polidor to anyone, especially those with elderly or disabled family members.
