A rich family history, sketched out just over 60 years ago by Raymond Berthillon (who passed away in 2014), the famous Maison Berthillon is an ice cream parlour and tea room on rue Saint-Louis-en-l'Île. The work, now carried out by the new generation, gives rise to creations that are a marvel of flavour and balance. Note: Maison Berthillon makes a point of using natural products (milk, fresh cream, eggs, fruit, etc.). It remains one of the best places in Paris to appreciate artisanal know-how.

Visited around 11am on a random Thursday morning, and there was no line. We got the passionfruit and raspberry sorbets - both were delicious! My personal favorite was the passion fruit.
