PÂTISSERIE DE L'ÉGLISE-DEMONCY-VERGNE
A beautiful neighbourhood address, created in 1887, just opposite the church, its fushia facade seems to promise a gourmet moment. A promise delivered if we judge by the queue of waiting on Sunday and the unfailing customer loyalty over the years! The productions of Laurent Demoncy (chocolatier), Clara Demoncy (caterer) and Jean-Claude Vergne (pastry maker) which are already a true pleasure for the eye and appetizing prove it very well. Lovers of the good cakes of yesteryear, will happily find the flavour of a millefeuille one of the best in Paris without forgetting the must-eat Paris Brest either individually or as a large cake. But the inventiveness has all its place with the successful sweet treat parading under the shop windows according to the seasons. Thus creations such as Manza: speculoos, apple biscuit, frozen green apple, green semi-baked apple, lemon cream, raspberry cream, Caradou - the great speciality of the house, a dacquoise, chocolate caramel cream or the 1887, a chocolate fondant, chocolate chips of chocolate, smooth chocolate mousse. For receptions: petit four, surprise breads, snack and cakes and for the end of years celebrations: A traditional Yule log (a log which really seems like a tree log… with an excellent génoise roll!) or artistic creations of the winter… a delicious house full of small delicacies.
