The Pont des Arts, a romantic symbol of lovers linking the Cour Carrée of the Louvre and the dome of the Académie Française.
The Pont des Arts, a romantic symbol of lovers, linking the Cour Carrée of the Louvre and the dome of the French Academy, was built during the First Empire. It was the first metal bridge in Paris. But its nine arches caused a lot of trouble for the boatmen. Accidents were so numerous that it was closed to the public in 1970 and was only rebuilt in the 1980s. Many "love locks" were hung on it. But the city council decided to remove them in 2015. Their number was so large that it threatened the railings with collapse!

Idéal pour traverser d'un bout à l'autre La Seine et découvrir les quartiers Parisiens qui l'entoure.
Dommage il n'y a plus e cadenas comme avant.
