Also known as the "French", this institution was created nearly 340 years ago. King Louis XIV, a great lover of entertainment, was responsible for its creation. Molière's plays are performed here, of course, but also those by Racine and Scarron. Over the centuries, the Comédie-Française has never moved from the Place Colette, just a stone's throw from the royal palace. Take the time to enter the hall and visit the museum, before attending a performance: classical or contemporary, you'll be spoilt for choice.

Si vous voulez voir du théâtre à Paris, c'est à la comédie Française qu'il faut aller! Les pièces sont d'une grande qualité et les comédiens très talentueux!

La meilleure salle de théâtre en France ? Peut-être bien ! Une qualité artistique indéniable et régulière. Néanmoins, malgré les travaux récents, certaines places restent très peu confortables. Mais bon, ces places ne valent pas chères, le jeu en vaut la chandelle !

Great programming and always of actors at the top of their art.
Given this afternoon a new styled by Muriel Mayette of one night's Dream of summer. A total success, drawing more towards the burlesque one that the poetic, one with a charismatic Michel Vuillermoz in Thésée and a Christian Hecq hilarious in Oberob. Special mention for delicious and talented Suliane Brahim in Hermia.
