It's one of Europe's biggest science museums, offering adults and children alike the chance to discover the planets, the Milky Way and the galaxies, as well as various exhibitions devoted to the Earth, technological innovations, sounds, images, light, mathematics, genetics... As for its Géode, a cinema in the shape of a metal ball, it is devoted exclusively to the projection of large-format films on a 1,000 m² hemispherical screen.

LA GRANDE HALLE DE LA VILLETTE

Located at the southern entrance to the park, the Grande Halle, built around 1865-1867, now hosts major exhibitions, shows and music festivals... During the Olympic Games, it will host the Paralympic weightlifting competitions. On your way to the park, you'll come across the Fontaine aux Lions de Nubie (Nubian Lions Fountain) dating from 1811, located at the southern entrance to the park. Listed as a Historic Monument, it was first erected on Place de la République, then transferred to La Villette in 1867.
