Within Amnesty International, the Commission was created in 1997, following the decision taken in 1991 by Amnesty's international assembly to defend people persecuted for their sexual orientation, gender identity or sexual characteristics.

The association Freedom, Equality, Homosexual Fraternity addresses all gay and lesbian people in France. It was created on 23 November 2000 in order to defend LGBT women in the event of homophobia (discrimination, abuse, violence, moral harassment, non-compliance with the ACAP laws) and sérophobie, particularly in the case of administrations.

Love Hard - AH! - is a playful and educational association made up of men and women who are responsible, amateurs or passionate about sadomasochistes and fetishists practices.
