Weather permitting, opt for the latter and you'll benefit from a rather unusual location. Not only are you at the crossroads of several busy streets, but you're also overlooking the tracks of the nearby Saint-Lazare station, giving the place a very special character. Super kind and kids friendly (quite the opposite of the nearby Breizh cafe, that refused to serve us, long story, check my review there). Cosy dining area with enough space for families.
Will definitely go back if in this part of Paris.
