Alexis Gruss, seventy-thirteen, comes from the serail, a true circus dynasty, started 160 years ago with his grandfather André-Charles Gruss. Thanks to his projects, he continues the legacy and tradition of the old circus, a learned mixture of equestrian performance, choreography and animation of saltimbanks. From the meeting between Silvia Montfort and Alexis Gruss was born 40 years ago the National Circus Gruss. Together they also created the first circus school in France and worked for the circus to be recognized as a full cultural show, under tutelage of the Ministry of Culture. In 2017, with the Farfadais company, the Gruss family offered the Quintessence show. 2:30 a. m. high-level show, including voltids, horse acrobatics, air and water ballets, or carousel to 26 horses!
