Founded in 1997, Caméléon is a French-speaking humanitarian association that protects and reintegrates children in the Philippines who are victims of sexual violence and abuse. It runs several local shelters. Caméléon also enables underprivileged children to pursue their studies through a school sponsorship program with medical follow-up, in which we can all participate. Barefoot Doctors are unique in that they respect local customs and use ancestral techniques to concoct effective medicines that help local populations. They propose the creation of botanical gardens, management of cultivated areas, collaboration with specialists in traditional medicine, medical assessments and care for local inhabitants. The association recruits not only medical staff, but also agricultural engineers, craftsmen and gardeners.
