Here again, you are faced with a monument of the 7 th Art that has crossed the time with the constant concern to spread the best cinema. Inaugurated in 1911 under the name "Le Royal", this Art and Trial cinema could accommodate 500 orchestra spaces and 100 seats on the balcony. After the time of success came the time of difficulties. The Escorial, which took its name in 1933, almost closed down many times, but the will of young movie fous took precedence. This team still offers twenty films per week and entire nights dedicated to stars such as Brigitte Bardot or Marlon Brando. La raison? La location de la salle no1 pour un "évènementiel étudiant" , dont on entendait au travers des cloisons , une voix hurlante dans un micro: faites péter la sono pour les p'tits d'jeuns , y z'aiment ça!
