LE GOB

Video games room
4.5/5
29 reviews
Closed - Open to 14h00

A bar and even more than that! The Gob is definitely shifted. Determined to "unite geeks and geeks from all over the world", it is with a sense of humor that the team of this essential welcomes you every day for afternoons, or completely crazy evenings. And then, it's hard to get bored here: besides parties, quizzes, board games or videos, nothing is missing. The beverage menu also seems to have come straight from another planet: beers (the choice is just huge), cocktails, we don't know what to choose - note also that happy hour is a religion here. And then you can also find something to wedge your appetite, from terrines to sandwiches and sausages. In short, in a completely offbeat and ultra-warm atmosphere, Le Gob is well worth a trip, and even several!

L'ÂGE D'OR

Open - Close to 02h00

The borough has some great initiatives, more and more numerous. And this Golden Age, let's face it, bears its name well: it is a wonderfully vintage associative place, where you can settle down for a drink or a meal, and many other things. For here, debates are organized, most often around "culture and pleasure", workshops are open to all, literary cafés are set up, in short, a whole life is organized around this place, now well known in the south-east of the capital. The goal posted here : "stimulate the senses, knowledge and encounters". The bet is taken, and largely kept - we love it.

Many barges border the quay of François Mauriac - but you notice a really original one. Between the small baths with ultra modern architecture and the Batofar, Dame de Canton is one of its king. This junk escorted from the China Sea by a passionate has become over the years a legendary stage of Paris. He owes it to his winner cocktail: concerts of young artists, exhibitions, performances and relaxed atmosphere. Young and crazy guests populate this ship which has only one Master on board: party. In summer, a terrace is installed on the quay, ideal for a cocktail while waiting to go on the deck where concerts are held.

LE WANDERLUST

Music and entertainment bar
4/5
5 reviews

Le Wanderlust is one of the last born of "hype" places of the capital. It was thought by the Savoir-Faire team, already at the origin of the Social Club or the Silencio, David Lynch's private club. Its two flagship assets: a huge terrace facing the Seine and activities all day long. People come there to see a projection, for yoga, a creative workshop or a children's lounge, for example. Le Wanderlust also has its restaurant, but it owes its success to the Club: The DJs are carefully selected and the programming is specific and eclectic. You will love dancing on the terrace during the summer! However, one downside: like all trendy facilities, the place is not cheap, and the entrance is very selective…

BOBA TEA COFFEE

Coffee shop and tea room
4/5
1 review

This tea room is located in the heart of Paris's Asian district, in a shopping mall - not necessarily the most obvious place to enjoy a cup of tea in peace and quiet, but we'll overlook that consideration - the important thing is not the form, but the substance! Tea is therefore a culture, a real philosophy for this establishment, which also offers a number of milkshakes. You can also enjoy excellent hot sandwiches accompanied by tasty Bubble Tea. With a strong presence on social networks, this tea room has a very loyal community.

THE FROG AND THE BRITISH LIBRARY

Pub
3/5
2 reviews

In the Frog family, I ask the British Library! In the heart of the 13 th arrondissement of Paris, this évocateur hotel is a British pub (with English servers) and a high-end Parisian brewery. The unlikely mixture of these two worlds works. Like its large "sisters" located in Bercy, Mabillon or Etienne-Marcel, you will find good homemade beers (the decoration will remind you) and you can follow football matches some evenings. This bar - not the most intimate bar - has the merit of inspiring this new quarter of the capital.

Le Merle Moqueur is a very small address in the neighbourhood but as it is also an institution, it is very quickly crowded. And as the speciality of the house is arranged rums which are sold in a dozen, you should expect to sweat. But this does not matter, here you will always have a jovial and relaxed atmosphere, good mood guaranteed; it is no doubt the most animated address of the corner. Discover it with friends for a toasted walkabout. One ti‘punch, two ti‘punch, three ti‘punch... and your wakeup will be complicated the next day!

TEATHÉTCHA

Coffee shop and tea room

Patrick Loustalot-Barbé has had his tea shop opposite the market in the rue de la Glacière for more than 20 years now: it's a place that is well known to regulars. You can have a tea, a chocolate, a pastry, but also choose among the 250 kinds of teas offered. They come from China, Formosa or India. They are generally large origins placed in a sort of revolving bookcase that is reminiscent of prayer wheels... The art of sublimating tea in form and content, in a way.

BATEAU NIX NOX

Club

Moored at the bottom of the pedestrian footbridge Simone-de-Beauvoir and of the BNF, built in 1911 and arranged in 2005, the boat Nix Nox accommodates various and very varied evenings - private parties also -, pure electro clubbing with unslung sessions of dance salsa or tango. During the fine days, this dock becomes animated and the Nix-Nox becomes one of the very attended places where one thus learns how to dance with rather charming and endowed partners. Consult the program on the website and will know that this place is privatizable all the year.
