One of Europe's finest examples of intelligent, educational presentation of wildlife from every continent, to be visited in Paris.

Set off on a unique journey to meet over two thousand animals on an immersive tour: the Parc Zoologique de Paris of the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle, created in 1934, extends over 15 hectares in the Bois de Vincennes. The Parc Zoologique has been designed to raise awareness of the threats to biodiversity, with five biozones: Patagonia, Africa, Europe, Guyana-Amazonia and Madagascar. Animal species, at the heart of the park, are presented in spaces that evoke their original ecosystems, respecting their well-being and allowing true immersion within each of the five biozones. Mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish and invertebrates: almost 200 species and over 1,200 animals offer a world tour of animal biodiversity. The Zoological Park is also a space that strives to better understand the interactions between human beings, flora and fauna. The landscaped setting is one of its major assets, with 870 different plant species making up an exceptional collection. Opposite the Park's Grand Rocher stands a majestic 4,000-square-meter tropical greenhouse, one of the highlights of the overall itinerary, home to animals from the Amazon and Madagascar biozones, to be observed in all weathers. The Zoological Park offers events throughout the year to help you get to know the animals better or discover them from a different angle, experiencing unique moments.

We enjoyed our visit to the zoo on a Monday afternoon with our six month old. It was relatively calm except for a handful of school groups. The paths and animal enclosures are well maintained, with the exception of a few areas (notably the exhibition where you can learn about the blob) that could use some attention. We especially enjoyed the greenhouse and the aviary, where we really felt we were surrounded by animals.

The part we did not enjoy was being approached by zoo photographers, having a photo shoot that felt invasive and very scammy. The photos were not good, we were offered 120 euros for 12 printed photos, then 60 for all 57 digital photos, and we wasted time we could have spent enjoying the park. I would have been happy to pay 10 euros for one nice photo of my smiling family had they offered, but their approach was unprofessional and left a bad taste in my mouth.

Although not as big as other Zoo we visited, it is extremely well organised.
Allow between 3 to 4 hours to visit everything.
Metro line 8 is about 10 min walk from the Zoo and it will take you straight to center of Paris.

Avrupa'da gördüğüm en iyi hayvanat bahçesi. Penguenler, foklar, aslanlar...özellikle kuş ve sürüngenler için yapılan alan cok iyi..flamingolarla yürüyorsunuz.. cocuklar cok sevdi.
