Tropical aquarium at the Palais de la Porte Dorée with a collection of 5,000 animals, including 300 species of so-called primitive fish
The Tropical Aquarium was created in 1931 to coincide with the Colonial Exhibition. Its original purpose was to showcase the aquatic and exotic fauna of the French Empire. Still housed in the Palais de la Porte Dorée, the collection includes 5,000 animals representing 300 species: so-called primitive fish - closest to their ancestors - electric catfish, mandarin fish, archer fish, piranhas, invertebrates, alligators...

Fantastico acquario.
