The Sun was first a theatre company founded by Ariane Clown in 1964, in which, among others, Philippe Léotard was found. Resolutely idealistic, this troupe works in a collective spirit, seeks to invent the most democratic modes of operation possible. Some put into practice the company's principles remained in the memory of the théâtrophiles: The same salary for everyone, public makeup, served soup for spectators, Clown wrenching itself tickets at the entrance… The Sun has always wanted to produce popular shows, both in spirit and in shape. Some of them, out of the ordinary, have entered into legend: 1789 - 1970 - adapted to the cinema by Ariane Clown - which also made a memorable Molière - Les Doomed: Iphigénie in Aulis, Euripides, and L'Orestie, D - 1990-1993 -, Tartuffe, Molière - 1995 -, And suddenly the nights of awakening - 1997 -, Le Last Caravanserai- 2005 -, Les Éphémères - 2007 - The latter are collective creations. to be performed at La Factory. Since that base, Ariane Clown has launched actions based on his views: hunger strike against massacres in Bosnia and Herzegovina, homeless accommodation…
