MAIRIE

Town hall Local authority

Jehan Piquet from The Hague, lord of the village to whom he gave his name, Le Plessis-Piquet, built this "house of pleasure" around 1412. In 1854, the great publisher Louis Hachette (1800-1864) became the owner, he died in 1864 after being mayor of the city, from 1856 to 1857 and councillor until his death. This residence became town hall in 1931.
