In 1909, Le Plessis-Piquet became Le Plessis-Robinson, a town made up of the rural village of Le Plessis and the Robinson district, where people came to celebrate in the guinguettes. Still very green, this residential city includes one of the first garden cities built in France and a large number of green spaces. The small hills that dot the city reinforce this rural feeling. From one of them, the view of the south of Paris is splendid. With a population of nearly 29,000 inhabitants, the city also preserves a heritage of castles and ancient mansions. Paris is only a few minutes from the RER, the city being the setting for the terminus of one of the line's branches.
