Solidarity International is an association for humanitarian purposes that works primarily to improve living conditions during periods of armed conflict and natural disasters. It supports and establishes an entire interactive network to address the vital needs of populations at risk: eat, drink, shelter and care.
What are they proposing? Solidarités International works in the area of water purification and its capture, thus overseeing its transport, sanitation, construction of hydraulic structures and irrigation channels, reservoirs and dams. Solidarity is also concerned about food problems, provides for donations, directs food transport and trains the farming work in devastated countries…
Where? Solidarity searches for volunteers for stays of at least 6 months in the following countries: Afghanistan, Angola, Burundi, Côte d'Ivoire, Haiti, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Liberia, Niger, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Sudan, and adapt to demand according to requirements.
Profile and conditions. The association is looking for professionals such as administrative coordinators and logistical coordinators. They will have to have several years of professional experience, but also the qualities of mentoring and project management. In these positions, the association prefers people who have already worked in the associative field. More specifically, the association needs nutritionists, construction engineers, hydrauliciens, agronomists, engineers and technicians in civil engineering.
