FRANÇOIS HENNEBIQUE'S HOUSE
This house was built between 1901 and 1903 by the engineer and architect François Hennebique to host his family. But it was mainly designed to demonstrate the many possibilities for applying armed concrete produced by its company: from the staircase to the terraces. Its tower is most recognizable and is the main architectural originality of the building. It is no less than 40 m high and serves as a water tower for the watering of the greenhouses and hanging gardens of the house, which was classified at Historic Monuments in 1972.
